The main characters are:

Mr. John Boddy- The owner of Tudor Mansion after his uncle, Sir Hugh Black, passed away. He was orphaned at eight years old and sent to the care of Sir Hugh after his parents disappeared mysteriously on a trip to Egypt. When he wasn’t at boarding school, he would spend time at Tudor Mansion being raised by Mrs. White. Years later, when Sir Hugh drowned, the entire estate was put in a trust to be given to John when he turns 30. It is in this will that certain “allowances” are given to six other mysterious characters.

Miss Josephine Scarlet- Daughter of Mrs. Peacock and rumored Sir Hugh Black. After her father, James Scarlet, suddenly passed, her and Peacock grew resentment with each other. When she was expelled from school, she took it upon herself to become an actress. She was placed in to small roles because of her looks, but her lack of any talent proved to much to bear. After coming back to England after a failed attempt at Hollywood, she became a topic of interest in the tabloids with her friendships with “rich old men”. Upon meeting Sir Hugh for the first time, he was shocked with how much she looked like his mother.

Colonel Michael Mustard- Military man with a complicated pass. Being sent off to military school taught him all about discipline and organization. His father’s friends then helped him joined the Hampshire Regiment called the “Tigers”, where he became pals with Sir Hugh. After an accident involving a fellow man being shot, Col. Mustard was moved to the Royal Engineers. His trips led him to places like South Africa, Egypt, Sudan, Egypt, Syria, as well as many other places. When retiring after World War I, he settled down and convinced a publisher to publish a book on his life. Even though he had gotten several advanced checks, he only wrote one chapter.

Mr. John Green- The local man of the cloth and savvy business man. Raised on a poor farm, his father was jailed for taking money out of the Offering plate at Church and his mother did laundry and told fortunes at a rundown hotel. Always charming, he used his talents by going town to town preaching from the good book. After a while, he started calling himself Reverend Green. People call him the modern Robin Hood by taking from the rich and giving to the poor, like him for example. Through the last few years he has been investigated by the police for reasons including but not limited to racketeering, bribery, fraud, smuggling, money laundering, and an international swindling. On on of his trips to England, Rev. Green ran into Sir Hugh and they became strong business partners until Hugh’s untimely death.

Mrs. Patricia Peacock- Wealthy widow. As a child she attend the best schools. Years later after a failed stage career and a messy love affair with two politicians, she left for America for a awhile. When newspapers printed there started printing stories about a mysteriously murdered married businessman and her involvement, she made her way back to England. Later on she formed a “special friendship” with Sir Hugh. Shortly after, she met a wealthy man named James Scarlet and eight months later gave birth to Miss Scarlet. All her life, those close to Mrs. Peacock met an unfortunate end. When she was 12, her father had an accident on the Pyrenees. Sir Hugh drowned while they were fishing on a trip. James Scarlet died falling down a flight of stairs in their summer home. Her second husband, the rich Ernest Zaffer, fell off a hotel balcony. Finally her third husband, Sir Mathew Peacock, fell overboard while aqua boarding together. After years of grand living, her sizable assets are nearly exhausted.

Professor Peter Plum- Former university professor and museum curator. When his father was lost at sea while on business, his mother had to take on three jobs to support his education. Having received an Oxford scholarship, he graduated at the top of his class. Settling in to the academic life, he became a Professor of Ancient Mid-Eastern Culture. Even though his job was fulfilling, the spirit of adventure was with him. One summer break, Professor Plum went to Egypt and found the his father and Sir Hugh had some business connections. When they both met, they reached and agreement and Sir Hugh funded Plum’s archaeological visits to Egypt. Between trips, he acquired a job at the British Museum. However, shortly after, rumors emerged that Plum’s papers were plagiarized by a colleague who was part of a freak accident. He was fired shortly after and still looking for his next big gig.

Mrs. Blanche White- The maid and cook of the house. All her life, she has taken care of others. When her parents died, she was left to take care of her three brothers and sisters at age 16. When they had finally grown up, Mrs. White took what she had left and went to England, where she worked for Sir Hugh and other households. While her domestic skills were well known, her cooking habits left guest weary. Her husband, Winslow White, was Sir Hugh’s chauffeur and passed away suddenly in 1903 right after his birthday. The year after, the recently orphaned John Boddy came to live at Tudor Mansion and be raised by her. After years of working for Black and Boddy, she barely has anything to show for it.

After these characters all meet up for dinner, Mr. Boddy is found murdered. The main goal is to find out who did it, in what room, and with what weapon. The case is afoot!
